Celebrities React To Michael B. Jordan's First Oscar Victory

The actor, who played identical twins with distinct personalities and character traits in the film, was all humility as he accepted his golden hardware.

"I stand here because of the people who came before me," Michael said in his Oscars speech. "To be amongst those giants, amongst those greats, amongst my ancestors, amongst my guys, thank you everybody in this room and everybody at home for supporting me over my career. I feel it."

That kind of personality makes him one of the most likable guys in Hollywood, and so easy to celebrate.

That, and his mom is usually his date for big awards nights. Love a grounded award-winner!

The Dolby Theatre erupted at the announcement of his Oscars win, as celebs were on their feet in a standing ovation.

Teyana Taylor could be seen saying: "Michael, you're that boy. Let's go!" from the audience.

Pedro Pascal was visibly ecstatic, and congratulated MBJ from the row behind him.

And that dap from his brother in creating movie magic, Ryan Coogler, also a newly minted Academy Award winner for Best Original Screenplay for Sinners, sealed the entire deal. Job well done.

Here's what Michael's peers had to say about his Oscars win:

"I can barely breathe right now… you were absolutely incredible in this film. An amazing actor, an amazing director — truly all of the above. Tonight we celebrate you: your talent, your mystique, and your incredible passion for the craft. Honestly, you deserve two Oscars for this one. When I sat down to watch the movie, I already knew it was going to be special the moment I saw a pair of Jordans on screen. Then the first line — 'Are you guys twins?' and you hit us with, 'No… we cousins!' — man, I was locked in from there. Congratulations, my brother @michaelbjordan. You’re operating in rare air right now. Celebrate it to the fullest… and trust me, the after-party is going to be crazy." —Jamie, via Instagram

“I wanted that so bad for him, man,” Sinners costar Miles told E! News. “He put in the work, he put in the time, he’s done this for so long—and he deserves this. So, I’m excited for him, happy for him.”

"What’s up, Blue!!!! So proud of my guy @michaelb4jordan. Top of the mountain"

I, for one, was cheering and screaming in my PJs. How did you react to Michael B. Jordan's big win? Let us know in the comments.
